    Over the past eight years Moving the World has obtained its objectives*, has a strong connection to the TNT values, strengthened our reputation and engaged and inspired employees. However, the connection between the partnership and the core business of TNT has faded over the years. The partnership has become a programme which is carried by a core group of ambassadors and enthusiastic employees. It is less integrated within the business and lacks a clear focus and direction.

    Three weeks after 150,000 people joined the global Walk the World event, stories of TNT colleagues raising awareness for WFP in the most creative ways are still coming in. More and more countries are organising activities next to - or instead of - the traditional 5km walk. The efforts, care and creativity put in the initiatives speak volumes about the level of engagement to WFP and our partnership.

Tales from the eternal city

From April-June 2010 TNT stationed two employees at World Food Programme’s head quarters in Rome, Italy. I was lucky to be chosen as one of these employees. Normally I work as Marketing Coordinator at our Nordic office in Copenhagen, Denmark, but for 3 months I moved to Rome to implement a website and marketing campaign in relation to this year’s global Walk the World events. Here is my personal account about my time in Rome.

NPSP starts Fleet Safety Trainings

The National Polio Surveillance Project (NPSP) of WHO-India runs the largest WHO operation in the world. With a fleet of 340 vehicles, they travel approximately 8 million kilometers every year across India to support surveillance activities, conduct case investigations and monitor immunization rounds.

Since 2002, TNT has been an active partner of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the world's largest humanitarian aid agency. Each year, WFP provides food aid to an average of 90 million people, including 56 million hungry children, in more than 80 countries. More is needed.
