Karim has left us after tree weeks. By now he will be back in Belgium. But last Sunday I picked up Juan Nieto he is ERT member and Ops Supervisor from Argentina and will take over Karims tasks.

In total we sent over 600 trucks over to Haiti: Elisabet Fadul (local WFP staff) started on 12 January with the first one and yesterday Juan sent over nr 600.

There were 209 for WFP and 391 for other agencies like IMC, WHO, OXFAM, UNHCR, etc (just Google them and you will find out what is what)

Can you imagine 600 trucks! This row is longer as Sven Kramer needed to skate in the longest distance in the Olympics.

I’m really a speed skating fan and love to do it myself if the weather allows it in the Netherlands.

And of course they do not have the Olympics on TV over here they rather watch the local football, so can you imagine, me sitting here (in our working space) with my head phone listening to the Dutch radio (at that time it was afternoon over here). I really needed to tone down after the disappointment.

This afternoon I have been busy locating the original paperwork for the 16 cars we received out of Dubai. UNICEF received also 5 cars from Madrid they put the paper work in one of the cars. But after searching in all the cars I could not find the paperwork.

But we needed to wait for the licence plate anyway so the car will not be delivered in time.
