North Star Alliance is offering healthcare services to mobile populations, especially truck drivers and their direct and indirect contacts.

To reach those mobile populations, North Star is opening clinics called "Roadside Wellness Centres" (RWCs) located at hotspots along the most important transport corridors in sub- saharan Africa.

North Star has developped in partnership with ORTEC an IT system (COMETS) that extends the continuum of care, collects essential data and reinforces quality insurance.

Today, North Star is operating in 25 different locations but next year, they will doble the number of Roadside Wellness Centers.

My mission as a roll out manager is to manage the implementation a new version of COMETS in the 25 existing centers, and the development of reporting and dashboard for the managers and donors/partners.

I'm also working on the definition and priorization of the system enhancements for the future releases. That's why I'm meeting different users, partners and organization (ministry of health for instance) to understand their needs.

Finally I'm preparing documentation such as implementation guidelines / methodology and planning to help North Star to be ready to implement COMETS at a quick pace for the 25 new centers that will be opened next year.

I've met in Durban (Head Office in South Africa) and in Nairobi (Regional office for East Africa in Kenya) wonderful teams, with people with a very high level of implication and competence in their mission.

We are currently working hard with North Star Alliance Team and partners (ORTEC, Just BI...) to be ready to implement the new version of the tool the 17th of september.
