TNT Centre - A New Way of Working

TNT’s emission free building is a reality. Our new corporate head office was completed in March 2011 and it provides space for almost 900 employees, visiting partners and colleagues from all over the world colleagues, who can work and connect everywhere throughout the building. For TNT, its Centre introduces a new working style; where attendance time is not important and what really counts are the obtained results.

The main principle behind working “unplugged” is employees are free to decide their optimum working location and form of transportation every day. Working from home can also be an option because technology has advanced to the stage where conference calls and video meetings are easy to arrange. The employee has complete freedom of choice.

This approach has far-reaching consequences for the building and its exploitation. Because of the flexible working practices, 40% of the space is saved and the available facilities of the building are used much more efficiently.

At TNT, we had a dream and now the TNT Centre is a reality that inspires and connects our people. It only took a couple of weeks for colleagues to get used to the new working style and it stands as a globally unique example of innovative collaboration.
