In the wake of the earthquake, 3 of our TNT colleagues are still missing. Ten others have lost their homes and hundreds of our 1,800 Chilean colleagues are suffering food and water shortages.

Extensive search efforts have been undertaken for our missing colleagues in Concepcion, located about 115 km north of the earthquake’s epicenter. Investigations are ongoing to locate them.

Thankfully, TNT LIT Cargo is able to use its network to provide relief aid to our colleagues in stricken areas. We have distributed food and water to affected employees and their family members and provided salary advances and temporary housing to those in need. Free ‘relief care package’ shipping is also available to employees, allowing them to ship up to 50 kilos of food and relief goods from any city in Chile to the affected areas.

Please help
The situation in Chile is dire. The official death toll is now 802. Some two million people, an eighth of Chile’s population, are in need of basic food and water and tens of thousands have lost their homes and are living on the streets.

We'd like to ask for your help in supporting our Chilean colleagues. Please make a donation – whatever you can – to help ease their suffering. All monies raised will contribute to
- the reconstruction of the 10 homes
- food, water and medical aid for more than 200 employees suffering poor living conditions
- replacement of damaged personal property

If you wish to send some comforting words to our colleagues, you can do so on the TNT Chile blog at: https://www.tntconnect.com/chile
