‘GSM Retourplan’ encourages people to hand in their old mobile phones at T-Mobile shops or to post them using a special envelope available at TNT Post service points at post offices. Mobile phones and batteries which cannot be used anymore will be taken apart and recycled. Mobile phones which are still working will be auctioned in batches.

It is the ambition of ‘GSM Retourplan’ to set up the biggest collection programme of the Netherlands. They are inviting other companies to join the programme so that it can develop into a big success.

With the collection and recycling initiative, TNT Post takes a sustainable approach in supporting WFP; Raising funds for WFP by taking its responsibility for a better environment is a beautiful combination of TNT’s two CR initiatives.

Ger Jacobs, Commercial Director at TNT Post: “By joining forces with other companies we will develop a big national collection and recycling network. We will actively try to connect other companies to this network so that we can generate the maximum proceeds for several good causes.
