The Specialist Programme

Since the beginning of the partnership, more than 70 TNT specialists have worked with WFP on projects all over the world. Over the last two years, for example, TNT supported WFP Aviation to improve the quality of its services. Specialists conducted aviation training courses in all of WFP's global air operations. and through the Customs Support project, TNT used its experience in clearing goods through customs regimes around the world to help the WFP and other humanitarian organisations speed up and secure the process of customs clearance in order to deliver better through-put times for non-food item shipments.

TNT’s Moving the World Specialist Programme pairs TNT functional specialists with WFP needs on an ongoing basis. Specialist assignments can last from six weeks to a full year.
