Student internships
The TNT Global Experience Programme (TNT GEP) is a special partnership between the international student association AIESEC, TNT, and WFP. Through the unique cooperation between these parties students are send to complete a humanitarian development internship in a developing country.
TNT GEP offers students the unique opportunity to do a TNT internship and work at the United Nation's World Food Programme (WFP),
Fleet Forum or
North Star Alliance and making a positive impact in developing countries in Africa.
As part of the programme, every year eight students from various Dutch universities are selected to take part in a six-month internship (from September until March) in Africa. There they will contribute to further development of the continent and its people, whilst learning about corporate social responsibility and public-private partnerships.
The TNT GEP was created in 2005 and involves close co-operation between TNT, WFP, and AIESEC, the world’s largest international student association.
In September 2010, 8 students will leave for Africa and America to have a life changing experience:
- Sophie van Gaarenstroom (WFP/ Nicaragua)
- Rutger Driessen (WFP / Nicaragua)
- Jelmer v/d Mortel (WFP / Tanzania)
- Wijnand Peterse (WFP / Tanzania)
- Erik Benning (WFP / The Gambia)
- Fleur Brunninkhuis (WFP / The Gambia)
- Phillipe Duterloo (North Star Alliance / The Gambia)
