Rachel Timmerman

My name is Rachel Timmerman and I'm living in Paris. I like Paris and especially make visit the most beautiful city of the world to my friends of various regions. Doing Small things could be great things for people in other countries has always been my dream. I always wanted to help the world. TNT and the WFP are giving me this great opportunity to participate as a specialist. I have occupied different post (post office) within the company, Customer Service executive, CS Manager, Import and PUD Manager, Depot Ops Manager. My current job is Compliance & Ops Process Manager; this means that I am responsible for all process National and International network systems. Make sure manuals are up to date, and participate in project groups to improve our systems, test new requirements, administrator of our KPI reporting system and I am involved in many more systems related operations performance. Emergency Response Standby Team: I signed up for the Emergency Response Team for different reasons: I wanted to be involved in charitable engagement and I think that we, as Emergency Response Team members, have particular added value when it comes to support WFP in disaster relief as we bring our TNT knowledge and technical expertise. In August 2007 I was asked to travel to Indonesia for the LET initiative and I found that an extremely rich experience. I have worked closely with WFP and local organisations but also with UPS and Agility. Part of our tasks was to set up a joint operation structure with TNT, UPS and Agility and how to coordinate relief effort with local personnel.
