When I finished high school (VWO) I was looking for interesting studies. I found a possibility in the political capital of Holland, The Hague. There you could follow a study called "international business and marketing studies".

Throughout my study years I came into contact with many nationalities. Many people from different countries are still my friends. Also during my studies I went abroad to France, a country where I worked and studied for more than a year.

This experience was very great and I decided I wanted to work in an international company and see a lot from the world. I started in 2000 as a sales person with TNT. Soon, I received an interesting project in a new acquired company. Unfortunately, it wasn't abroad but never-the-less very interesting. When I finished this project I asked for another project. Soon I became the application manager of our CRM system 'Scope' which was soon becoming the most important system for our business. I integrated other business lines into our database and grew into my new function of database marketeer. In the meantime I got married to my sweet and beautiful wife, Corine.

In all these years I made a lot of contact with various people from all over the world, which made me join YoungTNT. With them I visited Russia, which was a very interesting experience. Meeting the Russians, seeing how TNT is dealing with different cultural circumstances and having the possibility to influence the strategy of TNT on a very, very small scale. It made me realize I want to make a change. A real change. If not for myself, than for the people we can help through the WFP and ERT programme. I hope to be able to contribute.
